“ Visited yesterday with Brother and Boyfriend after a food fayre. Absolutely loved it, so quirky and unique. Unusual and fascinating decor. Friendly chatty and knowledgeable staff. Had such a good gossip. An amazing selection of drinks went with one the barman recommended. An ale which I hadn't tried. The selection of Sours and Ciders were some of the most varied I had seen. Would definitely highly recommend. Very quickly felt like a friend whilst chatted to other customers and staff. Place is laid back and unconventional. Toilets clean and well maintained. Would be happy to go in alone. They have recently added a tv which shows a trail cam in the woods. It's wonderful to watch the wildlife. ”
“ Being a big fan of both craft beer, The Cramps and all things rock N roll/kitsch this was an essential visit for my husband and I on our trip around the NE. COVID measures all spot on and table service was great. Barman and owner were super friendly and took the time to chat with us (given we were geeking out over the decor!) Largest fresh cask selection I encountered during our 2 weeks which given the difficult circumstances was even more impressive. Strong keg lineup and some sours available in the fridge. Massive thumbs up from us...make the effort to visit and you won't be disappointed. I'm very jealous you have this in Newcastle, I want one in Birmingham! :-) ”
“ I love this place. So much character and lush drinks. Staff are lovely too. The music playlist here is varied and lively. Variety of tables to lounge at or even have the start of a date night. Warm and cosy on a winters night and clean toilets. Little outdoor area too which would be lovely on a summers evening. My mates love the variety of beers here. I tried a lovely sweet apple cider. Nice selection of standard crisps (pipers etc) ”

“ Very good Newcastle micropub in a former newsagents opposite Haymarket bus station. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. Whacky interior decoration and fittings and an affinity for heavy metal music! Lots of outdoor seating in the garden to the rear. Very friendly and helpful ladies running the bar. ”
